Another year has flown by and now is the time of year we tend to make new year resolutions so that we can make positive changes in our lives. But how many of us make a real commitment to do so?

What exactly is a Stress Management Vacation and how does it work.
A Stress Management vacation is an opportunity for you to take some time out to reflect on your life, recognize the areas that are out of balance and gain greater clarity as to what changes you need to make to bring about the peace of mind you are looking for. It is also an opportunity to learn the psychological tools you need to deal with the challenges that modern life throws at you.
Now there are many Stress Management Packages that I have come across at Wellness Resorts worldwide and most of them are very similar. Although a good idea, I feel they are limited in the way that a ‘package is a package’ and you will be given the same treatments and therapies as everyone else who signs up.
Most resorts offer some yoga classes, a few nice massages, a life coaching session, some healthy meals and some meditation thrown in for good measure, but you will be treated by a different person every session which means that none of them will really get to know you or will communicate their findings with the other therapists.
Now that may help some people to a certain degree as I am sure you will feel more relaxed for the duration of your stay, but is that really helping to resolve long-term issues? What happens when you go home and are thrown back into your normal, stressful lifestyle?
The problem I find with the ‘package’ approach is that everyone is unique and therefore everyone needs to be treated differently. When it comes to stress, there can be so many factors causing it so one size certainly doesn’t fit all. The thing I have found is that everyone I treat is very different and so it is important that I treat each person in a different way.
Some people may be experiencing serious anxiety issues, in which case I will have to focus more on the physical and psychological aspects. This may include several sessions of hypnotherapy, massage, meditation and acupuncture.
Other people may just need some life coaching sessions to gain a clearer picture of exactly what they want to achieve in life.
Some people may need some career advice as they may have reached a point where they have outlived their current roles and need to change.
Every single person that I treat and work with receive sessions that are unique to them.
I have a background in both physical and psychological health, so my approach to Stress Management is to treat both and to gain a full understanding of each individual so you know exactly what sessions are best for them.
On your first consultation, I first check your physical well-being with a device that can assess the state of your health from TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) perspective. This provides me with valuable information on how stress has affected your physical body and emotional state.
In addition, I then provide a full psychological consultation to discover exactly what areas of your life are out of balance so that we can focus on resolving those issues during your stay. With a background in hypnotherapy, meditation and life coaching, I can provide you with the support and advice you need in addition to some psychological tools to take home with you.
You may choose to visit me at any of the stunning holiday destinations in the world that I work at and you don’t have to come alone.
I don’t take up all of your time, so you can come on a Stress Management Vacation with your family too. All you really need is 2-3 hours a day with me and the rest of the time is your time, either to spend with your family or take some time to enjoy the natural settings and reflect on your life.
The great thing about coming away on holiday is that it gives you space to step away from your regular life and really take some time out to think more clearly. As a result, changes that usually can take 2-3 months of weekly sessions can be resolved within 6 days.
You will also return to your life after the vacation with greater confidence and more excitement as you implement the tools and strategies you have been armed with.
